You bought the beach pass, you have the Vilebrequin, the Herve Legere and the Birkin. \u00a0 \u00a0It’s official you’re ready to hit the beach, as long as you don’t have to pass a mirror first. \u00a0Yeah, all of those holiday cookies, turkey, ham, brisket and chocolates have finally taken their toll. \u00a0 \u00a0Well have no fear, I’ve done the research for you and if you’re willing to put on your sneakers you’ll be looking like Keira Knightly after a juice cleanse in no time!<\/p>\n

It wasn’t that long ago when a new spin studio that I can’t remember it’s name (unless I read one of my old postings) opened and\u00a0disappeared faster than the free food at a real estate brokers open house.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0This time around Westhampton Beach’s CrossFit Hamptons is going into the location.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I stopped by the other day and apparently \u00a0classes are already underway.\u00a0 If you want more details on times and class schedules you can visit their website.\u00a0\u00a0 www.cfhamptons.com<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0 If you mention P-11 for some reason they’ll even give you a free week.<\/p>\n

Also, some of your old favorites are back and ready for the Summer of ’13.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I’m getting tired so I’m just going to give you the lowdown on some of the more popular places to work up a sweat on the east end.\u00a0 In no particular order…..<\/div>\n

1) SOULCYCLE<\/strong> – 68 Newtown Lane, East Hampton.\u00a0\u00a0 The funky spin classes that you can hear on the street are back again for another season.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0www.soul-cycle.com<\/a><\/div>\n
Best Reason to Go<\/strong> – It’s one heck of a workout and the instructors are more like coaches than drill seargents.<\/div>\n
Reason Not to Go<\/strong> – Cult like following.\u00a0 Friends of mine talk about SoulCyle like it’s the Scientology of fitness and that just scares me.<\/div>\n

2) FLYWHEEL<\/strong> – 65 Montauk Highway, East Hampton next to the bowling alley.\u00a0 Also in the Summers at Sag Harbor Gym, 1 Bay Street Sag Harbor.\u00a0\u00a0 This\u00a0is the\u00a0place with “stadium” bikes where they post your workout on a monitor for all to see.\u00a0 So if you’re looking for mellow workout this isn’t where you want to go. www.flywheelsports.com<\/a><\/div>\n

Best Reason to Go<\/strong> – A great work out and some good celebrity spotting at virtually every class.<\/div>\n
Reason Not to Go<\/strong> – They post your work out on a monitor and that’s not fun when you’re trying to sweat out the alcohol from the night before!<\/div>\n

3) B East –<\/strong> 199 Main Street, Amagansett.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Call it spinning with a twist or an angle.\u00a0 B East features\u00a0“core bikes” which actually turn and twist\u00a0to give\u00a0you more of a workout.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0I have to admit,\u00a0they’re a little scary at first\u00a0for the uncoordinated like moi but if you just relax\u00a0you’ll eventually get the hang of it.\u00a0\u00a0 www.eastfit.com<\/a><\/div>\n

Best Reason to Go –<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0A more casual and fun atmosphere.\u00a0 Not everyone there is in Lululemon!<\/div>\n
Reason Not to Go –<\/strong> It’s next to Mary’s “friggin” Marvelous!\u00a0\u00a0A workout doesn’t count if you have the amazing tuna salad followed by\u00a0a coconut cupcake chaser after the class.\u00a0\u00a0Screw the class I’m hungry!<\/div>\n

<\/strong>4) Barry’s<\/strong> Bootcamp – 352 Montauk Highway, Wainscott. Now I’ve never been but they have locations everywhere from London to LA.\u00a0 According to their website “Since 1998, Barry\u2019s Bootcamp<\/strong> has revolutionized group fitness by delivering \u201cThe Best Workout in the World\u201d to a legendary following, including many celebrities.”\u00a0\u00a0 Their gyms also feature “night club lighting, urban d\u00e9cor.”\u00a0 Hmmmmmm… I’m not so sure about that last part.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 www.barrysbootcamp.com<\/a><\/div>\n
Best Reason to Go<\/strong> –\u00a0\u00a0 Easy parking in the Wainscott shopping center.<\/div>\n
Reason Not to Go –<\/strong> It’s a boot camp!!!<\/div>\n

Finally, everyone has been talking about those two Wall Street guys that were stupid enough to leave notes trying to cut out the broker after being shown properties out east.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Do you really think this is the first time this has happened?<\/div>\n
