{"id":4648,"date":"2017-09-04T12:58:38","date_gmt":"2017-09-04T12:58:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hamptonschatter.net\/chatter\/?p=4648"},"modified":"2017-09-04T12:58:38","modified_gmt":"2017-09-04T12:58:38","slug":"summary-of-summer-17","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hamptonschatter.net\/chatter\/summary-of-summer-17\/","title":{"rendered":"Summary of Summer &#8217;17"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I know I&#8217;ve been a bit remiss in writing my blog this summer. \u00a0 \u00a0 But while I&#8217;m sure none of you lost sleep awaiting my latest post, at least know you&#8217;re always reading something relatively fresh. \u00a0 \u00a0I mean how easy would it be to turn this into a &#8220;Men&#8217;s Health&#8221; type blog where I just repeat the same old stories with different fonts over and over again. &#8220;How lose 20 lbs by Labor Day, How to Have Your Best Summer Ever, Bathing Suits for Every Build.&#8221; \u00a0Blah Blah Blah.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, I have so many things I wanted to write about over the course of the past few months but I never had time to put finger to key or at least the focus. \u00a0 \u00a0 So rather than do one long coherent post, I&#8217;m just going to let it all out. \u00a0 So, now here are my observations during the summer of &#8217;17 on the East End and my hopes for next year.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4686\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4686\" style=\"width: 683px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-4686 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/hamptonschatter.net\/chatter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/FREE-WIFI.jpg?resize=693%2C693\" alt=\"Wifi cafe icon set\" width=\"693\" height=\"693\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4686\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">SUMMER OF &#8217;18&#8230; NOT AT MY HOUSE!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Next summer, I will be hooking up a for pay wi-fi system at my house. \u00a0 \u00a0The first 24 hours are free, after that it&#8217;s $99.00 a day. \u00a0 \u00a0I mean are you here to visit me or watch Netflix?!<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Casual&#8221; in the Hamptons means only 3 people insult your outfit.<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s really not cool to gasp at another person&#8217;s sunburn. \u00a0 Yes, it hurts and the look of horror doesn&#8217;t help in any way what soever.<\/li>\n<li>How <em>does<\/em> one get a speeding ticket on Rt. 27 in the Summer????<\/li>\n<li>If you&#8217;re under 5&#8217;1&#8221; then maybe driving a Range Rover two days a week for three months a year isn&#8217;t really a good idea. \u00a0 \u00a0Doing it while texting is an ever worse idea.
