What a beautiful world!!! And is stand up comedy really a good training ground for REAL ESTATE!?

While driving in the pouring rain yesterday I saw a really wonderful site. A sale sign with “In Contract” on it! Yes the Hamptons market really is back! Ok, there was a slightly more beautiful sight yesterday. I was driving along Brick Kiln Rd. when I saw this truly remarkable rainbow! I know it sounds like I’m about to start talking about Care Bears but look at the picture!! It’s pretty spectacular, right!? I’m a decent photog but know know this picture does no justice to how spectacular this really was.

On another note, I received a rather puzzling announcement in my e mail from one of my competitors this morning. Apparently one should tout being a fashion model and a stand up comic when becoming a new agent in the Hamptons!! Fashion model!!!? I guess it doesn’t hurt! I mean nobody wants to work with Quasimodo, right? I personally loved the animated Hunchback! Wait, I’m getting off track! Damn, I should load some of my old photos on the company site, although I’m not very funny. I’m just hoping I can announce soon that RuPaul will soon be an agent! SUPERMODEL-SUPER AGENT!

Finally, my pearl of wisdom for the day. Friends don’t let friends go on facebook after a martini!!!

Perhaps if they just watched “The Secret” one more time!

Sad news! A little black cloud of bad karma has settled into Sag Harbor. The “metaphysical” shop has shuttered it’s doors. I’m not sure what’s going on in this space but I have no doubt it will have a new tenant soon. Unlike East Hampton, there are few retail vacancies along Main St. Now if I just think it will be a Best Buy the Law of Attraction will make it so.

A sign of the Times – Bostwicks gets a make over!!!

One of Three Mile Harbors most notable landmarks has been replaced. The former sign for Bostwick’s has been replaced by a subtle but just as large sign for THE BOATHOUSE. Just in case you haven’t heard, Michael Gluckman has picked up his shop from The Lodge on Race Lane and moved to the waterfront former home of Bostwicks. He’s also done some renovations on the property expanding the back deck behind the bar and enclosed it.. see the photo. According to my friend Rory, the menu will be fresh seafood along with some of your old favorites from the Lodge. This for years has been one of my favorite placed in East Hampton to have dinner at sunset. Gang, we’re wishing you guys good luck and throwing in a little reminder…. do soiree Saturdays!!!

Also, another one of my favorites when I can’t get into Bostwicks/The Boathouse will probably once again be Harbor Bistro on Three Mile Harbor in the springs. They’ll be opening May 8Th. Yes, they too have water views, although not so spectacular. I will also say their food is probably some of the best and most underrated on the east end. Great service too!

Come along hear the song that we’re singing… come on get HAPPY!

It was a beautiful week in the Hamptons but not for humpback whales unfortunately. Anyway, an awesome week and Friday is of course full of rain. What can you do today to put you back in that happy mood??? Why go to a HAPPY HOUR of course. So, if you’re looking for some suggestions here is a really great one!!!

The Palm in East Hampton is having what they call PRIME TIME, weekdays at the bar. While drinks are full priced the appetizers and nibbles are dirt cheap. A platter of KOBE BEEF SLIDERS which are normally $10 are $3.50!!! Yes, $3.50 and no they don’t cheat you out and give you a spa portion! In fact, all of their PRIME BITES MENU is $3.50each! What a deal… Filet Mignon Capri Sandwiches, Calamari Fritti, Mini Broiled Crab Cakes and tons more. It’s totally awesome. If you haven’t been to the bar at The Palm, the bar itself is small but there’s plenty of booths, tables and comfy chairs. The only downside of this is the occasional overbearing scent of cologne or perfume. I’m not sure why Hai Karate and Jean Nate wearers favor The Palm. It’s just one of those eternal mysteries only Leonard Nimoy would dare explore!!

Finally, my last place for a great happy hour is my sofa with a nice glass of anything. OK, maybe not anything… I don’t like Riesling or Sterno! Anyway, have a great Friday night all!!! Hope to see you soon!
